FAQs

How far do you travel?

We generally play in the Thames Valley area (but we do play in London and have also travelled as far as Scotland, Holland and Ireland!)

Do you need a stage?

No.  But a stage is quite good if you want your band to stand out.

What time do you arrive?

We generally arrive two hours before the start of the event to get set up.  We realise that sometimes we have to set up before guests arrive, and then play a little later.

Can you play background music?

Yes - we have a range of playlists, or can play yours.  We usually pack up when we have finished the live music, but can extend if necessary.

How long do you typically perform for?

We normally play for approximately 2 × 60‑minute sets or 3 × 40‑minute sets. We can adjust timings to fit your schedule, whether you want a shorter performance, extended sets, or background music earlier in the day.

Can you learn specific songs for our event?

Yes — we’re happy to learn a first dance or a special request with enough notice. If you have multiple requests, we can discuss what’s possible based on rehearsal time and arrangement needs.

Can we choose songs from your playlist?

Rather than asking you to create a full setlist, we ask you to suggest a few must-play songs and let us know any songs or artists you’d prefer us to avoid.

With a repertoire of 100+ songs and plenty of live experience, we’ll then build the sets on the night to suit the room and keep the dancefloor full.

Do you provide your own sound and lighting equipment?

We bring a full professional PA system and stage lighting suitable for most venues. If your event requires additional production (e.g., very large rooms, outdoor stages), we can arrange this at an additional cost.

How much space do you need to set up?

As an 8‑piece band, we ideally require a performance area of around 5m × 3m. We can be flexible, but having enough space ensures the best sound and stage presence.

What do you wear on stage?

We dress smartly and professionally as standard, but we can adapt our look to suit your theme — from black‑tie to festival‑style. Just let us know the vibe you’re going for.

Do you require anything from the venue?

We ask for:

•             Access to at least 2 standard power sockets

•             A suitable performance area (5m x 3m)

•             Parking and easy load‑in access

•             Refreshments for the band (especially for longer events)

If the venue has a sound limiter, please let us know in advance so we can prepare accordingly.

How do we book you?

Once you confirm you’d like to go ahead, we’ll send a contract and deposit invoice to secure the date. The remaining balance is usually due a week before the event.

Are you insured?

Yes - full PLI and PAT-tested equipment

What happens if someone is ill?

We are normally an 8-piece band, but if someone is ill we can usually call on good players who we know can fill in.  Occasionally we will perform with 6 or 7, but 8 is best!
